e-Markets Disclosure Facility

On 14th March HMRC launched the e-marketplaces campaign aiming at people using online marketplaces, who have not paid right amount of tax and wants to put things right.

Does this affect you?

To check, click here.

To take advantage of the terms offered by the campaign, you need to do three things:

1. By 14 June 2012, you need to notify HMRC that you want to use e-Markets Disclosure Facility. It’s simple and can be done online, by post or by phone. If you have a tax adviser, they can notify on your behalf.

2. By 14 September 2012, you need to disclose any tax you owe to HMRC. Your tax adviser can help you do this. You also need to make the payment of tax owed by this date. If you can’t pay all at once, then you need to contact HMRC before this date to pay by instalmenst over an agreed period.
